Burbank Media Center

Located a stone’s throw from the hotel is the Burbank Media Center, a shopper’s paradise in the heart of the business district. The mall is home to some of the biggest retail and restaurant chains, such as Macy’s, Sears, Staples, Mervyns, Bed Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble, California Pizza Kitchen, Corner Bakery and P.F. Chang’s.
After many long hours of quality shopping and fine dining, what better way to end your bargain hunting safari than by bagging tickets to a really good movie? The AMC movie complex has 14 screens, regularly showing the finest in motion picture entertainment. And don’t forget the popcorn!
Universal CityWalk
Sometimes you just wanna shop, right? If you are browsing for bargains and want to run with a slightly hipper crowd, then you should boogie on down to Universal CityWalk. Located less than six miles south from the hotel, Universal CityWalk is adjacent to Universal Studios in nearby Universal City, and hosts some of the most exciting eateries and shopping spots in Los Angeles. With 33 restaurants, such as Tony Roma’s, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., and Wolfgang Puck Café, and 29 shops, such as Abercrombie & Fitch, EB Games and Fossil, CityWalk is an eating and purchasing paradise. And after an exhausting day shopping, you will soon discover that the nighttime entertainment is simply awesome. The Hard Rock Café, Rumba Room and B.B. Blues Club hop and howl all through the night, up until the wee hours.
Ventura Blvd. Shopping District
Located less than a mile west of Universal CityWalk, in nearby Studio City (which got its name from silent-era producer Mack Sennett, of “Keystone Kops” fame, who built a large studio there in the 1920’s), is the Ventura Blvd. Shopping District. From Laurel Canyon Blvd. to Sepulveda Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, this stretch of Ventura Blvd. is one of the most thriving shopping sections of the city. You’ll see funky independent shops and bistros cohabitate with name-brand stores and eateries in perfect harmony. On the far western section of the district, is the Crown Jewel of the Valley Experience – the Sherman Oaks Galleria. Made famous by Frank Zappa’s 1982 hit song, “Valley Girl,” the Galleria was the hip hangout for high schoolers with charge accounts. A few years ago, the Galleria was renovated to become a major office and business complex, but many chain eateries and shops still totally line the promenade.
