The Halloween Costume Carnaval of West Hollywood – October 31, 2010

The 23rd Annual Halloween Costume Carnaval of West Hollywood will be held on the city’s streets on Halloween night, Sunday, October 31. This wildly entertaining celebration is free for all who attend. The event will feature live music, DJs, illusionists, a costume contest, celebrity guests, and a vivid array of wickedly fun activities. Over half a million people are expected to attend.

Halloween Week

The week leading up to the event is also filled with a variety of entertaining activities. The Carnaval will host a youth carnival, pumpkin carving contests, and even “Drag Races,” where people dressed in drag and wearing stiletto heels race for prizes.

The Halloween Costume Carnaval takes place on Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and La Peer Drive.

Driving Directions from Ramada Burbank Airport Hotel to the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval:

1. Head southeast on San Fernando Road for 443 feet.

2. Turn left to merge onto Interstate 5 South and go 6.7 miles.

3. Take Exit 141 toward Los Feliz Boulevard and go 0.2 miles.

4. Keep right at the fork to continue toward Los Feliz Boulevard, merge onto Los Feliz Boulevard and go 2.7 miles.

5. Continue onto North Western Avenue and go 1.2 miles.

6. Turn right at CA-2 W/Santa Monica Boulevard and go 4.4 miles.

7. Turn right at North San Vicente Boulevard, and you’ll find yourself right in the middle of the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval.
