While many people know that Disneyland Park is located in Anaheim, not many people may know that the Disney Studio is located in Burbank. While the Disney Studio is generally off limits to the public, the studio does offer a special, behind the scenes tours several times a year. Here’s what you can learn when you take a special Burbank Disney Studio Tour.

Did you know that before Disneyland was built in Anaheim, they had actually proposed a themed park in Burbank? The theme park would have been located where Walt Disney Animation now stands. At the Burbank Studio, you can also take a look at the original multi-plane camera that was used to shoot classic Disney films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio. There are only three of these cameras left in existence. One is at the Walt Disney Family Museum and the other is at that Walt Disney Studios Park located at Disneyland Paris. When walking the grounds of the studio, be sure to take a look at the street signs such as Dopey Drive and Mickey Ave. Underneath the Animation Studio, there are actually walkable tunnels that run throughout the studio. Originally, these tunnels were made as a way to transport animation cels. Now, the tunnels are still used to get from one place to another as well as being an area where movies and TV shows have been filled.
