Rose Parade 2020

Rose Parade information

Are you staying in Burbank and looking for things to do near Bob Hope Airport? If so, head over to Pasadena for the holidays. Not only do they have fun Christmas events, but it’s also home to the biggest New Year’s celebration in California – The Rose Parade. Read on for more Rose Parade information.

2020 makes the 131st Rose Parade! Also known as the Tournament of Roses, this parade has been around since 1890. It was created to showcase the beautiful weather that was enjoyed during the winter season. While other parts of the country were covered in snow, Los Angeles was enjoying warm enough weather to grow a variety of flowers, including roses. All the floats feature roses, flowers, and other natural resources such as seeds and grains. This year, the theme of the parade is “The Power of Hope.” This family-friendly parade is a great way to kick off the New Year. Enjoy the floats, marching bands, equestrian groups, and more! While it’s possible to buy bleacher seat tickets, it’s also free to snag a spot on the sidewalk along the parade route. Be sure to get there early, though, as locals are known to camp out the night before to grab a good spot!

After the parade, check out the Rose Bowl college football game that happens every year. This year, the Rose Bowl game has the Oregon Ducks against the Wisconsin Badgers. With both teams in the top 10 in the country, this game is sure to be a hit.
