Halloween, Fitness and Food this October in Burbank, California!

If you’ll be in sunny Burbank this fall, there are three fun family-oriented events going on that you won’t want to miss, detailed below! These events will celebrate Burbank’s Centennial Year and Halloween with movement, entertainment and great food.

Let’s Move, Saturday October 1, 9:30am-1:30pm in Johnny Carson Park, 400 S Bob Hope Drive

Today nearly one in three children in the United States is overweight or obese, which puts them at greater risk for health problems. This fall the City of Burbank and its school district will bring the nationwide Let’s Move initiative started by the First Lady, to the Burbank community. Let’s Move promotes healthy lifestyles for children celebrating fitness and health. Fitness stations, healthy food samples, educational resources, giveaways and more will be available, along with an “Evolution of Dance” performance to celebrate Burbank’s Centennial.

Taste of Downtown Burbank, Thursday October 6, 5pm to 10pm in Downtown Burbank (San Fernando Road)

The 8th Annual Taste of Downtown Burbank is a fantastic night that benefits the Burbank Community YMCA financial assistance program. The event has raised more than $200,000 for the Burbank YMCA scholarship fund after seven years. Tickets to the event allow you to taste unlimited samples from more than 40 restaurants, chef demonstrations, competitions and live entertainment. Tickets go on sale September 5th. Booo-tiful Downtown Burbank & Happy Howl-oween, October 31, night in Downtown Burbank

Thousands of costumed kids and dogs will fill the streets of downtown Burbank this Halloween night. Downtown Burbanks merchants will provide free treats from 4pm to 7pm so that kids and parents can trick-or-treat from store to store. Pet owners can bring their dressed up dogs (on leash!) to participate in the Annual Downtown Dog Parade on the AMC walkway.
