Grab a Bite of Los Angeles at The Taste!

Experience all of the best restaurants of Los Angeles at the L.A. Times The Taste. The celebration is a weekend of five themed events at Paramount Pictures Studios over Labor Day weekend. Every event features unlimited food and drinks with tastings from over 40 of the best restaurants in Southern California. Live cooking, mixology, wine seminars, and panel discussions will also be held. If you’re staying in hotels by Bob Hope airport during Labor Day weekend, be sure to check out the Taste’s events!

September 1: Field to Fork, hosted by Russ Parsons & Ray Garcia, 11 am to 3 pm

Russ Parsons is the L.A. Times Food Editor. This event is inspired by fresh, local ingredients and cooking seasonal dishes. Your ticket includes unlimited beer, wine, spirits, and food tastings, plus access to wine seminars and cooking demonstrations. This event feature’s Farmer’s Markets, locally grown foods, and much more.

September 1: Cocktail Confidential, hosted by Jessica Gelt & Julian Cox, 8-11 pm

This event was designed especially for bartenders! Jessica Gelt, Food & Night Writer for The Times, hosts a party with cocktails and bites. You’ll witness demonstrations from craft beverage specialists, and a mixology competition judged by the two hosts.

September 2: Flavors of L.A., hosted by Jonathan Gold & Evan Kleiman, 11 am to 3 pm

Jonathan Gold, Times Restaurant Critic, and Evan Kleiman, chef, author, and host of KCRW’s “Good Food” host an afternoon of authentic dishes from all over the world through Los Angeles’ best restaurants. The cuisine included in the event spans Mexican, Japanese sake, street food, Peruvian food, wine, and much more.

September 2: Dinner & Drinks, hosted by Betty Hallock & The Beer Chicks, 8-11 pm

Times Deputy Food Editor Better Hallock hosts a night of food and drinks with pairings with “The Beer Chicks” Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune. Cocktail and beer demonstrations will take place all night, along with unlimited food and drink tastings.

Labor Day Picnic, hosted by Noelle Carter and Zoe Nathan, 11 am-3 pm

Celebrate the sandwich on Labor Day, in its many forms. Noelle Carter, Times Test Kitchen Director, will host an afternoon of classic and exotic sandwiches, from ice cream to burgers to nachos to Bahn Mi. There will also be a cookoff, several cooking demonstrations, and wine tastings.
