Celebrate Oktoberfest this Fall!

What’s the best thing about September? Certainly not the starting of school or the coming of fall, but Oktoberfest! If you are visiting Los Angeles this month, there are many ways to celebrate this grand holiday of beer and good times. Read below for several Oktoberfest festivities happening over the next two months all over Los Angeles! If you will be staying in Burbank CA this Fall be sure to check them out!

 

Alpine Village Oktoberfest

Alpine Village Oktoberfest opened last weekend and is currently running Friday and Saturday night as well as Sunday afternoons until October 27. This is the oldest and largest Oktoberfest celebration in all of Southern California. Traditional Oom Pah Pah bags are flown in directly from Germany to perform every year. The event runs from 6pm until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and from 1pm to 6pm on Sundays. Fridays and Saturdays are geared towards adults with music, contents, sing-a-longs, bier prosting and the chicken dance. Sunday is family day with kid treats and games. You are welcome to bring your own cup or stein to drink with as long as it doesn’t shard. Tickets are $10 on Friday and Saturday nights until September 22 and $20 until October 27. Sunday tickets are $5.

 

Downtown Burbank Oktoberfest

On October 10, a biergarten will be set up on San Fernando Boulevard between Olive Avenue and Angeleno Avenue especially for beer enthusiasts. You will be able to sample a variety brews. Guests can also collect a free swag bag full of special offers for Burbank merchants, a special souvenir glass, enjoy music and entertainment. Tickets are $25 and include 5 four ounce samples. Restaurants in the area will be offering specials and free appetizers especially for Oktoberfest ticket holders from 5pm to 10pm on October 10. So be sure to come by to enjoy beer, food and great times!

LA Oktoberfest

During the weekend of October 25-27, the LA Oktoberfest will take place in downtown Los Angeles. This is an all weekend celebration with hours from 2pm to 5pm. Guests can sample traditional beers and foods served by beer maidens. VIP ticket holders will be able to enter at 1pm for $100. Admission is $35 per person. Admission includes a one liter glass stein and 1 fill up of your favorite beer. Additional fills are $5 each. VIP admission includes unlimited refills. No refunds are available for any tickets. Hot dogs, sausages and pretzels are available to purchase for $5. Venue details are not available yet but keep checking www.laoktoberfest.com for more details prior to the event weekend!
