Burbank Film Festival – July 31 through August 7

The annual Burbank International Film Festival is a week-long event that celebrates the city’s rich cinematic and motion picture history. The event is held on the campus of Woodbury University in the Fletcher Jones Foundation Auditorium in Burbank, CA.  Throughout the week there will be various special events, seminars, discussion panels, and speakers covering a wide array of industry-related topics.  An award’s ceremony will also be held at the end of the festival, with awards given for Best Feature, Short, Documentary, Student, Socially Conscious, and several other categories.

The city of Burbank is known as the “Media Capital of the World” because of the number of media companies located within the city limits.  They include Warner Brothers, Walt Disney Studios, ABC, NBC, and dozens of other smaller studios and production companies.
